Debut singing Latifah preceded by album All Hail the Queen (1989), followed by Nature of a Sister '(1991), Black Reign (1993), Order in the Court (1998), She's the Queen: A Collection of Hits (2002) and The Dana Owens Album (2004).
While Latifah started her acting debut through the movie House Party 2 (1991), Juice (1992), Living Out Loud (1998), Scary Movie 3 (2003), Last Holiday (1006), etc..
Through the film, CHICAGO (2002) was nominated for Queen best supporting actress. So even for the Golden Globe Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards, each is given the award for the film directed by Rob Marshall.
