Bob Marley was a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and activist Jamaica. Born with the name Robert Nesta Marley on February 6, 1945 in Nine Miles, Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica.
Bob Marley married Rita Marley in February 1966. And Rita who introduced Bob to Rastafarianism. In 1969, Bob, Tosh and Livingston fully embraced Rastafarianism, which greatly influenced their music and reggae in general.
Bob Marley perform 2 shows at Madison Square Garden in order to embrace blacks in the United States. However, on 21 September 1980, Bob Marley collapsed while jogging in NYC's Central Park. Cancer had spread to the brain, lungs and stomach. Program reggae singer finally breathed his last at Miami Hospital on May 11, 1981 at the age of 36, leaving a wife and 5 children.
CAREER
Bob Marley began his career with the Wailers, the group he forms with Peter Tosh and Bunny Livingston in 1963. The Wailers collaborated with Lee Scratch Perry, producing such hits featured Soul Rebel, Duppy Conquerer, 400 Years and Small Axe. The collaboration ended bitterly because Perry sold in the UK without the consent of the Wailers. But the sweet fruit incident, Chris Blackwell, owner of Island Records signed the Wailers, and produced the album and the Burnin CATCH A FIRE.
In 1976, Bob Marley moved to England. Unabated creativity, EXODUS successfully perched on the British charts for 56 weeks. This success was followed by the next album, which is RICH. Success is capable of delivering reggae music to the western world for the first time.
In 1977, Bob Marley was convicted of skin cancer, but hidden from the public. Bob Marley returned to Jamaica in 1978, and issued survival in 1979 was followed by a successful European tour.
