PERSONAL

Gerard James Butler or commonly called Gerry Butler or Gerald Butler was born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 13, 1969. This Scottish actor had studied law at Glasgow University Law School before finally interested to pursue a career in acting.


CAREER

Gerard chance to prove his acting skills in stage play titled Coriolanus. From here, Gerard then began sweeping lines movies with the film MRS. BROWN in 1997. In the same year Gerard also gets a small role in the James Bond film TOMORROW NEVER DIES entitled.

Gerard Butler became known internationally when he gets the role as Terry Sheridan in the movie TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE in 2003. Two years later, Gerard got the role as King Leonidas in the film 300.
